St Andrews, the spiritual Home of Golf, was last night raided by City of London police, in an ongoing investigation into "corruption in golf".
The police were said to be looking for any incriminating evidence that would determine why Tiger Woods was able to win every tournament he entered, and denied their search was connected to the Lord Stevens ongoing investigation into the "corruption in football".
Woods has won every tournament he has entered in the last six months in, what some say are, "suspicious circumstances", and golfing authorities have asked police to look into bribery allegations, and possible betting syndicate interference.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin McGomerie, leading the raid, said:
"There's something dodgy going on in golf. Nobody can beat him."
