Tottenham and Chelsea played an exciting game of football in the Premier League last night, which finished with the amazing scoreline of 4-4, with both sides scoring four goals, and also conceding four goals, meaning that the spoils were shared, and each team claimed a point.
All of the fans went home both happy and disappointed as their respective heroes fought out the 8-goal 'thriller stalemate', in a match littered with defensive mistakes and goalscoring inspiration, depending on each individual supporter's point of view.
The eight goals were scored by different players from each side, but were so exciting, and came so frequently, and at such crucial points in the game, that the names of the scorers escapes me at this particular moment in time.
Both managers agreed that the match had been a whirlwind of excitement, and that they sincerely hoped other games in the Premiership this weekend would also be played at such a high standard, with the same level of excitement, and with a similar degree of goalsmanship as this one.
A great game of football, and a fantastic advertisement for the Premier League.
At White Hart Lane, it ended:
Tottenham Hotspur 4 Chelsea 4
