Success is the most important thing in English football. This is a national fact that cannot be disputed. A bold plan to protect the long-term future of English football has been published by the government.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in the release:
– Yet despite the success of the sport both at home and abroad, we know that there are real challenges which threaten the stability of clubs both big and small.
Is this talk realism or some meaningless funny talk, asks an ordinary citizen interested in football.
– I understand the Prime Minister's opinion, but it is of no use to us, says Mr. Egmont Farrall, the manager and caretaker of a small English soccer team.
To participate in the sixth league level would require more enthusiasts than the team has now.
– We are woefully short of professional high level players, but we have found a solution. It is not approved by the football association, but it has worked on the training fields, says Mr. Farrall.
Mr. Farrall said that the head coach of their club noticed that the sheep that ate the grass of the soccer field also had the ability to use the soccer ball.
– This was an observation that saved our team, definitely!
It wasn't a long way from here to when the systematic training with the sheep started.
– We are waiting for the results, as well as the official decision of the football association. Can sheep be players of the official football team?
Mr. Farrall believes that the large player fees will force the sheep to be accepted as official players in the very near future.
– Obedience and loyalty are characteristic of sheep. This is not always the case with today's footballers.
