NEW YORK CITY - (Sports Satire) - After taking a cue from the Japan Baseball League, MLB Commissioner Rob "The Man" Manfred said that effective with the 2023 baseball season all MLB games will be played using green fluorescent baseballs.
Commissioner Manfred, said that this idea has been used in Japan, for the past few years, with fantabulous success.
Oshi P. Kunushi, Japan's commissioner of the Japan Baseball League (JBL) said that every player in Japan is thrilled with the new colorful balls; adding that they are a whole lot easier to see in sunny conditions.
One centerfielder with the Osaka Ocelots, Yoshi Pushi #97, said that since the new fluorescent baseballs were put in use he has not lost one flyball in the sun.
SIDENOTE: Commissioner Kunushi pointed out that the fans love the new colorful balls as well, because everyone can see them so damn good, and it has cut back on fans getting hit by flyballs by 99.1%.
