They're two entirely different players playing in different positions, from different backgrounds and with different ages, builds and skin colours, and, in many ways, couldn't be more different, so it's a surprise to many people that Mason Greenwood is being touted as the next Harry Maguire.
Greenwood, 17, is United's new star striker, having scored their winner in the 1-0 Europa League win against FC Astana. He came through the youth team ranks, and cost nothing. Maguire is the central defender who cost £80million when he joined from Leicester in the summer.
With these two contrasting profiles, then, it's difficult to see why Greenwood can possibly be considered as Maguire's successor.
Spoof writer, Moys Kenwood, explained:
"It's a bit of a fallacy, really, because just about the only thing Maguire and Greenwood have in common, is that they both play for Manchester United. However, as people are starting to show signs of becoming bored with reading about the former, I thought it might be interesting to switch the focus of attention to the latter."
You have been warned.
