After the disgraceful scenes in the US earlier this month, many people would probably find it difficult to believe that Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov could spend more than 10 seconds in each other's company without fisticuffs, so the idea that the pair would join forces to search for missing murdered dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi would be nothing short of amazing - but that is exactly what has happened!
The two fighters who met to battle for the UFC lightweight world title only three weeks ago, have become firm friends since then, and have decided to help look for Mr Khashoggi, who hasn't been seen since he was murdered in the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.
McGregor said:
"Oim allus losing stuff, but it usually turns up! Oim sure oi can foind Mr K if ye give me a bitta toime t'look f'the fella."
And Nurmagomedov was just as positive, saying:
"I've checked my house already, and he's not there. I've left no stone unturned. My garden is full of overturned stones. It's a real mess."
