After the apparent controversy between manager Jose Mourinho and player Paul Pogba at the Manchester United training ground this week, and Mourinho's statement that "No player is bigger than the club", a protest has been lodged by Stoke City striker, Peter Crouch.

Crouch, the Potters' striker, says Mourinho is wrong, and that he - Crouch - is actually 3 inches taller than Stoke City's bet365 Stadium.

'Crouchy', as he is called, for short, is 18 feet 7 inches tall, and can easily see his house when he stands on tiptoe in the centre circle. He has always been tall, dwarfing his friends at school, so that they called him 'Lurch' as a term of endearment.

Crouch is famous in football circles for that Robot Dance after scoring a goal, and for being tall.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
