DENVER, COLORADO - John Elway, Vice President of Football Operations for the Denver Broncos, has decided to draft himself as the team's new quarterback.
Elway, who started a record five Super Bowls and won two during his earlier career in the 80s and 90's, has decided to don the #7 jersey again for a second go round.
"I see no conflict of interest," Elway stated in a press conference the day after the Broncos loss to the Seattle Seahawks, "just because I am now the big boss. I can do both jobs effectively and am really good at bossing myself around."
Elway, who turned 60 this year, has begun working out at the Broncos Conditioning Center.
Meanwhile, there has been an explosion of Tweets and Twitters as excited Elway fans learned the news.
"I'm thrilled," expressed one fan. "Elway knows what its like to win, but more importantly, he knows what its like to lose."
