CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Friday nights in the Lone Star state mean one thing - high school football. And fans at Corpus Christi's Jean Lafitte Football Stadium certainly witnessed one heck of a future NFL star in the making.

The Pirates of Jean Lafitte High School defeated their hometown rivals The Millard Fillmore Barracudas 24-21.

The game was tied 21-21 with 7 seconds to go when the Pirates field goal kicker, Biff Cappellini, 16, went out on the field to attempt an amazing 87 yard field goal.

Earlier in the week during practice the freshman kicker had connected on field goals of 63, 67, and 71 yards.

As the Pirates center snapped the ball the Barracudas swarmed in trying to block the kick but Cappellini, who is swift footed managed to kick the ball off and it sailed 87 yards splitting the uprights.

The stadium exploded and the cheerleaders rushed onto the field each trying to touch Biff's right foot.

Chants of BIFF! BIFF! BIFF! echoed through the warm Corpus Christi night and car horns started honking like it was New Year's Eve.

SIDENOTE: The Pirates head coach Lincoln Beckenbocker, 42, took all of his players to a local Whataburger to celebrate Cappellini's fantastic 87-yard game winning field goal.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
