AUSTIN - Country music icon Willie Nelson recently talked to Buck Yazoo with Yippie-Ki-Yay Magazine at The Davy Crockett Barbecue Grill located in the capital of the Third Coast, Austin, Texas.
Yazoo asked Willie how he keeps up the concert touring pace at the age of 80. Nelson grinned, took a sip of his Lone Star Longneck Beer, and said that he just does it.
He was asked what he thought about the state of Colorado legalizing marijuana.
Willie smiled, took a puff of his Marlboro cigarette, and said that he thinks it's wonderful. When asked if he thinks his home state of Texas will ever follow suit, Nelson shook his head and said, "No way, we got way too many Republicans in our state and they barely like beer much less pot."
Nelson then added with a smile that he is giving some serious thought to the idea of moving to Colorado.
He laughed and said that if he smoked a joint on top of the Rocky Mountains he would probably feel like he was on the planet Jupiter.
