CONCORD, New Hampshire - Danica Patrick told the racing media that she is sorry about the incident at The Coca Cola 600, in which she crashed her car into the car driven by her boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.
She wanted everyone to know that she is extremely embarrassed and that it just goes to show how much in love she is with Ricky.
Danica was asked to explain her remark. She smiled and said that she is so smitten with him that when she saw him on the race track she just kind of got all giddy inside and her womanly characteristics just took over.
When the recently divorced race driver was asked to explain her explanation she became a little miffed and simply said, "Okay, look, I am head over friggin heels in love with Ricky, okey dokey?"
SIDENOTE: NASCAR racing officials are looking into the NASCAR Book of Rules and Regulations to see if there is any rule that prohibits a female race car driver from racing in the same race as her boyfriend and/or husband.
