The Royal Buttocks Theatre in London's East End is performing a New Dicken's 'Xmas Carol'.
The narrator is named Carol and is a beautiful black chick with large breasts (probably real). She is covered with pieces of strategically placed Holly. Scrooge is Indian. The crippled kid is Asian.
The rest of the cast are African, Spanish and Middle Eastern. The Ghost of Xmas Future is Transexual.
Out went to the church bells and in their place - some nice religious jazz riffs - for a Contemporary feel.
Scrooge was still the ultimate British, Greedy, Conservative, Rich Guy - (some things never change) - but he was still able somehow to achieve a Conversion Experience - (seemed a Miracle).
The Ghosts were all Female Mistresses of the Rich Man - and also the Transexual Ghost of Xmas Future. (Might have been a Mistress, also - come to think about it.)
Scrooge listened to them and did the Big Change to Kindness.
Other than these few minor details to reflect how Britain currently Really Is - it was a fairly Traditional production
