You can buy Pre-diabetes vitamin, expensive low carb food, Pre-diabetes herbal remedies, Pre-diabetes cookbooks, etc., etc.
No Pre-diabetes Pepsi so far.
Diabetes is a recognized medical Disease, Pre-diabetes is not.
It is a physical Condition, that in 25% of cases leads to Diabetes, but in 75% of cases does not. It depends if you eat sensibly and do light exercise such as walking. Do very littele and you are still in the 75% group.
But it causes lots of visits to the doctor's office for Check-ups and blood tests, etc. A Cash Cow condition - so to speak.
After all the Doctor has kids to put through college and it ain't cheap.
But it sure is a great Marketing Tool with many products-to make many Millions of dollars-off of people's Fears... a retail gold mine.
If pre-diabetes is a medical condition - then the Elderly have a medical condition called the pre-death Condition-that is 100% fatal.
Just shows how silly Medicine has gotten.
As PT Barnum said- there is a Sucker born every minute, and for the Pre-diabetic Industry it seems to be true.
