Most important: Try to keep the victim away from Fox News.

Current event followers of U.S. news realize that no matter what President Donald Trump does, there is a core following of Trumps that will justify whatever he does. For instance, evangelical ministers excuse his infedelities.

What causes this blindness to the truth? Experts are saying that it is akin to a cult following. For instance, what are the signs of cult worship?

The first one is usually the presence of a "charismatic" leader, which in this case would of course be Trump.

The second sign is indoctrinating the individual, or sometimes called the "brainwashing" aspect. In the Trump case, this would be the political propaganda of the 2016 election, and the 2017 Trump presidency.

The third sign is exploitation of the cult member, whether economically or spiritually, which is the selling of the new tax cuts to the loyal, lower-earning Trump followers.

To help debrief, or deprogram a Trump follower, it is recommended that you:

1.Educate the Trump follower on thought-reform techniques and help them to recognize those methods in their own Trump experience.

2.Ask questions that encourage the Trump follower to think in a critical, independent way, helping them to recognize that type of thinking and praising them for it.

3. Try to produce an emotional connection to their former life before Trump by introducing objects from their past and have family members share their memories of his pre-Trump existence.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
