You are the Weakest Drink....goodbye

The BBC has suffered as much as any other business over the past couple of years. Programmes such as Doctor Who have sucked up most of the budget, meaning that the BBC are looking for cheaper programmes to fill the schedules.

"We've noticed that cookery, DIY, quiz and reality TV programmes are very popular, despite costing virtually nothing to make," said Colin Gravy, head of light entertainment at the BBC. "It is into this area that we will be putting what little budget we have left."

This autumns new programmes include Come DIY With Me, that will see a group of ordinary members of the public going around each others houses to do DIY and they will be marked by each other, with the viewing public voting off the worse DIYers, at least in theory, it is likely that the worse DIYers will remain in the show to ruin further houses. After the run of eight programmes, this show will see a follow up called Celebrity Come DIY with Me, the same show, but with celebrities that have been out of work for over a year.

The BBC will also be showing The Weakest Drink, a quiz show in which ordinary members of the public (as they do not need paying) will answer questions for drink ingredients for concoctions that they have come up with themselves; in each round, the contestant with the Weakest Drink will be evicted. However, the viewing public can boost the BBC coffers by ringing a premium rate number to gift ingredients to those contestants they wish to see remain in the show. This show is scheduled to run for twelve weeks, and be interspersed with various specials, including the Christmas Eggnog Special, and Celebrity Weakest Drink.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
