Full House star Jodie Sweetin and husband Cody Herpin, a set designer and actor, got the market going when they provided TMZ.com with the sonogram of the baby they are expecting next spring.
As soon as the sonogram was posted on the Web, fans expressed an interest in seeing sonograms of other celebrity babies. The search is on! Tabloids and celeb websites are desperate for such photos. It seems that sonogram photos of the fetuses of stars such as Halle Berry, Nicole Richie, and Christina Aguilera would command unusually high fees, possibly as much as a million dollars. Entrepreneurial paparazzi have abandoned the clubs and streets of Hollywood. Instead they are hanging out in obstetrical offices hoping for the big score, getting some valuable shots of famous fetuses.
In light of these developments, civil rights attorneys and child advocates are recommending that all famous fetuses be registered as members of the Actors' Equity Association so that their rights will be protected.
