Lynwood Jail, Los Angeles - (Ass Mess): Sherrif Lee Baca's a popular man in Hollywood yet again after Simple Life star Nicole Richie made a celebrity pit-stop at the Paris Hilton Suite at Lynwood Correctional Facility following the impostion of a DUI four day custodial sentence.
"Baca sure gets my vote anyday!" Richie said later through her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley.
"This is the kind of compassionate sentencing that America needs," Holley also added after his 25 year old client as fingerprinted, photographed, gave a few personal autographs and was summarily released after having a good laugh with prison officials.
Richie still has to pay a fine and remain under probation for three years while under monitoring by a drug treatment program team.
"But Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty's taught me how to manage that one," Richie beamed today referring to the Houdini-like escapology successes that the London musician has enjoyed evading drug rehab programs.
As she headed back home with boyfriend Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden, Richie looked well satisfied with today's outcome and delighted at the sackful of freebie VOTE LEE BACA bumper stickers that proison staff gave her as a souvenir.
Paris Hilton is 26.
