Pasha Kovalev, the 8-year veteran of the BBC's stupid dance extravaganza, Strictly Come Dancing, has announced that he is to leave the show 'forthwith, and by mutual consent'.
The Spoof understands he is a KGB operative.
Kovalev joined the show in 2011, and two years later, he was paired with Countdown celebrity, Rachel Riley. He recruited her into the machinations of the Soviet spy organisation shortly after. Rachel now lives in Vladivostok (Владивосток).
The Russian is thought to have enticed dozens of other people into the Moscow 'web of secrecy' over his time on Strictly, several dancers amongst them, and possibly Darcey Bussell.
He announced his announcement on Twitter, announcing he had enjoyed his time on the show, but thought it was now time "to find a new challenge".
He indicated that he might feature in one of Russian national TV's many Strictly-style spin-offs, Strictly Come Hacking, Strictly Come Spying or Strictly Come Murdering.
