Nice to get the star, Minnie admits, although she sighs and points out that boyfriend Mickey Mouse got HIS star 40 years ago. "Typical, isn't it?" she says, continuing, "in this business, and in the world in general, males are first to get just about everything."
Although Minnie was happy to host superstar Katy Perry at the "star" ceremony, she had some complaints about that too, saying, "Did Katy have to be a copycat and wear polka dots, just like ME? And, really, a midriff-baring outfit was quite inappropriate at this family-friendly occasion. What is the world coming to?"
Also Minnie felt that Katy was overly friendly with Mickey Mouse, parking herself right next to him at the ceremony and being totally "hands-on." Minnie was forced to admonish Katy, "I know he's just a spindly little mouse, but keep your hands off him."
Minnie admits the whole day was quite an honor but says that, although getting a star was okay, she would have really preferred to receive a nice hunk of cheese.
