A Jet Blue flight to LA landed at Albuquerque's airport after passengers panicked over a bad smell in flight. The crew quickly determined that Nancy Grace had let a stinky fart rip, but under new anti-terrorism guidelines, the plane was diverted to Albuquerque's Sunport anyway for further investigation.
Grace's publicist John Miller, while not answering any questions about the farts, told reporters that Nancy Grace and the other passengers were unharmed.
"I want to stress that Nancy is in no way suspected of terrorism or trying to interfere with Jet Blue Flight 235. Still, as a courtesy, Nancy will reimburse her fellow passengers the cost of their plane tickets."
April Mgonke, a passenger on that flight, described what happened on board the plane.
"I heard a commotion and people were yelling and running towards the back of the plane saying it was a terrorist attack. And then the smell hit, it wasn't even like any farts I've ever smelled, it was like some of the stink bombs our chemistry students have made at Michigan State, it was really nasty smelling."
Despite her fears and the screams of other passengers not to go up front, Mgonke peered into first class to see what was happenning.
"I thought if I'm going to die anyway, I sure as hell wanted to see what was going on, and if it was terrorists they were going to have to look me in the eye before killing me."
Stranger yet, what Mgonke saw was Nancy Grace cheerfully steeping in her own farts with several crew members passed out around her.
"When I looked in there Nancy just realized what happened and took off her headphones and started yelling for help."
The crew members were revived and order was restored on the flight, but until the plane could land, Grace was asked to stay in the bathroom because its ventilation system is separate from the rest of the plane.
The FBI has no plans to charge Grace according to its spokesman Leonard Crowfeather.
"It's just an unfortunate incident. We understand Nancy Grace was also on medication after surgery and that could have exacerbated the situation."
Ironically Grace is in recovery from a brain tumor that caused her to think she was smelling farts all the time.
