The BBC has announced that it is to axe Radio Glasgow as part of its cutback plans. The radio station will broadcast for the final time on Monday March 1st.
BBC spokesperson Marmalade Dirty-Hussy said "We have to make some savings and we decided that the listening figures for Radio Glasgow were rather low. Also, we really want Scottish accents of the air. We just can't understand them. On TV we can use subtitles, but on the radio we just can't do a thing."
Fans of Radio Glasgow are said to be furious. Breakfast show host "Wee" Tommy McCockles said "Och aye, yon sasenachs are doon an' ....." The rest of this statement has been deleted due to it being in a strange language.
The Conservative Party have already said that if they win the next election the BBC will face further cuts. BBC Radio Minority Group and Radio Politically Correct are said to be under threat because they are shite.
