BBC Drama have just announced that they have commissioned a new sit-com based on 70's Colorado based Mork and Mindy starring Robbie Williams - pre Take-That and 'Rock DJ' - and Pam Dawber.
The BBC version will be set in Bolton Lancs, and Morse the alien will crash to earth in an oversized extra-terrestrial testicle, where he will meet Mindy (played of course by Cheryl Cole) a humble pie shop employee.
The running gag throughout the series will be Morse trying to contact his boss Arson back on his home planet, Pork. During these exchanges, Morse will make funny hand signals whilst announcing his catch-phrases, "Doo-Doo Doo-Doo" and "Sheepschitz!"
The BBC version will operate on a much smaller budget than its US counterpart, but in homage to the original, Morse will drink through his penis.
Cheryl Cole said she was looking forward to this challenging role and Morse told us that he'd do anything involving pert hooters.
Morse, a US citizen is expected to arrive with his personal Cock Physician, Doctor Bargis Tryhol STD a week next Tuesday. BBC executives predict trouble.
More as we get it.
