From Chubby's & Fatty's, to 7-Eleven, and now to 7-Seven.

Back in 1927 Teodore Vincent Thompson and his brother Wallace Jeb Thompson founded an icehouse in Bluebonnet City, Texas, and they named it Chubby & Fatty's Icehouse.

They sold beer, soft drinks, cigarettes, candy, milk, and condoms.

And after 96 years that one store has grown into 79,999 convenience stores today.

The franchise has added gasoline, deodorant, and tampons.

The name was changed to 7-Eleven to signify that the stores were open from 7 am until 11 pm.

But in the interest of making money the stores are now open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the new chain name is 7-Seven.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
