Happiness? You can't afford it

The world's richest man, Amazon boss, Jeff Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie, are to divorce after 25 years of marriage, proving, without a shred of a doubt, the old maxim that money can't buy you happiness.

Bezos created the multinational technology company and online shopping giant 25 years ago, which, if you have been observant, is a little bit suspicious when you remember how long the couple have been together.

Mr Bezos has an estimated wealth of $137billion, and his company is worth $797billion.

A statement issued by Mr. Bezos said that the two had enjoyed every one of their 25 years together, and still found great affection in each other, but just couldn't bear to spend any more time in each other's company. Said he:

"Having great wealth isn't an automatic guarantee of happiness. My wife and I have enjoyed a quarter-of-a-century together, but I now wouldn't want to spend another hour in the same room as her - not even if you offered me a trillion dollars!"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
