How many times has it struck Music Enthusiasts that a so - called Homage by one band to another is an otherwise 'crib'...indeed a cleverly disguised infringement of Intellectual Property Rights?
The latest example thereof is a recent recording of Santa, at a Post Christmas Vegas pool-side Karaoke Chill - Out.
In the Mojito - fuelled cacophony, Santa ( whose name, can, in theory, spell 'Satan', if mucked about with) bellows some incomprehensible, raucous and entirely tuneless noises, vaguely referencing ' COSY Christmas Carols.
But, when played backwards, the 'Carols' take on a, though equally garbled quality, dark tone, such as the timeless: 'Santa Baby ',seems to suggest : Baby Satan
'I believed I had the monopoly on anti - Christmas nastiness, most notably in the form of 'Scrooge', says Satan...but this is evidence of a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.
