My two-year-old colt Pippy snatched victory at last on its fifth outing!

Pippy - the wife Coleen's childhood nickname - won the 8.10pm at Wolverhampton, racing through from last to beat the favourite by a head at 13-2.

The £63,000 horse, trained at the Cheshire stables owned by former Old Trafford teammate Michael Owen, pocketed me £4,200 in prize money - but i made a lot more from the bookies!

Afterwards I tweeted: "So happy. Pippy got 1st win tonight. Yes well done. @themichaelowen yeeeeaaaahhh lad. Buzzing with win nice 1 lad."
