Dear diary,
Welcome to 2012. It's only 8 days in and Sam and I have been celebrating the New Year at The Highwayman's Haunt - an olde-worlde coaching inn, near Rotherham and we expect that this year will be an eventful one where we meet a multitude of people who will no doubt pass over to the other side.

I must admit that Sam has been behaving rather oddly since Friday - for some strange reason, he has been calling me by my middle name - Robert - and asking to go to the toilet more regularly than normal! He kept telling me that he could see some honeycomb lights that were flashing and the giving him a headache and that if he did not go to bed soon to have a lie down, he would be no use to anyone - he thought that the spirits were getting to him!

It then dawned on me that Bob Holness was channelling his way through Sam by saying "I'll have a P please Bob!"
