Derek Acorah - My Fake Diary
Sunday, 16 October 2011
Dear diary,
Sunday is quite exciting and a chance for Sam and I to go for a nice pub lunch somewhere. Today was no exception and we found a traditional tavern in a cobbled street in Salford.
Sam ordered his favourite egg and this is chips with black pudding and I chose beef stew with dumplings, carrots, peas, potatoes and onions and a few herbs - the aroma was out of this world!
As we were eating, Sam told me that the dish before me was called "Lancashire Hotpot" and as soon as he told me, I immediately felt a tingling in my spine and I could feel that somebody who made it famous had just passed over to the other side.
This is one Rover who will not be returning!
