Brendan Rodgers has turned down the chance to talk to Liverpool about the vacant managers job. Well that's a chance he will never get again.

Liverpool should have called me, I could speak to Shanks and ask his opinion on who should be the new manager. I knew Shanks of course, because he signed me as a player for Liverpool from Wrexham. I played in the reserves but never made the first team. Shanks spirit has since told me that it was the biggest mistake of his managerial career.
