I've cut short my Hawaii christmas holiday vacation to go home and prepare for the new House session. Not the tv programme starring Hugh Lawrie (my favorite) but my job as President.

I have to deal with the fiscal cliff problem. It is crucial to the future of our countries recovery.
I don't even know what a fiscal cliff is. I'll have to get my team to brief me.

So far the only part of my prepared speech is a joke about Cliff Richard. I hope people get the reference to the british singer...
