Rameses Trojani, creator and distributor of the controversial Pope Benedict XVI condoms, announced yesterday that he has been receiving death threats and has demanded 24-hour police protection.
Herr Trojani, billionaire owner of The Netherlands In & Out Sex Shoppes & Sundries, accused the Roman Catholic Church and The Vatican as being behind these threats.
"This was all meant to be a big joke…to tweak the Church and to give a nudge at the Pope…to wake him up about the perils of population explosion and sexually-transmitted disease," said the accuser behind a bullet-proof screen, sporting a Tommy Hilfiger flak jacket, and surrounded by a dozen Greek wrestlers in striped loin cloths. "Can't the Pope take a joke?"
When asked by this reporter how he knew that The Vatican was behind these threats, Herr Trojani stated that at the top of each illuminated little death-scroll there was a crucifix and a J-M-J right under it.
