In a bizarre mix of espionage, religion and sadism, an Italian trial of US CIA operatives began today with gripping testimony from a wife about her husband's torture.
Abu Yeshua Nazarene's wife Miriam Magdala testified that her husband, a revered though controversial religious prophet, was betrayed by one of his former disciples for forty pieces of silver proffered by the CIA. Yeshua, sometimes called Christos(the anointed one)was mocked, beaten and scourged by CIA operatives.
He was forced to climb a hill with the implement of his execution on his back. At the summit he was nailed by American soldiers to the cross and died an excruciating death after three hours of torture hanging between heaven and earth.
After a very painful hour of testimony, "Christos' wife" was asked outside the court if rumors of her husband's survival were true. All she would say was that sometimes the great ones somehow come back to life. The Central Intelligence Agency issued a reply:" Terrorists like "Christos" go to the hell that they tried to create on earth, thank God!"
