Pope Benedict admitted today to enjoying watching American television shows from his hotel room during his visit to the United States. While the Pontiff said that he did not enjoy reality shows such as American Idol, Survivor, or Big Brother, he did enjoy the scripted family show fare of The Disney Channel.
During a brief meeting with the press where he discussed his down time between official visits, The Bishop of Rome said that "I saw the Hannah Montana show with the young Miley Cyrus girl. While it may be popular to some people, it was not really to my taste."
Instead, Pope Benedict said that he preferred "The Suite Life of Zach &bCody."
"Did you see those twin boys? I think they are about eleven years old. Does anyone know if they're Catholic? Do they need to come in and make a confession? Do they live anywhere near New York City?"
"The show takes place in a hotel. Can I stay there instead?"
"I probably can't catch them this trip, but I'd really like to offer them, and any other young boys out there, a personal tour of the Vatican."
