A Sydney Teenager waiting for the lights to go out.

A new study from Australia has shown that rather than assisting to reduce global warming, Earth Hour, where everyone turned off their lights to reduce the greenhouse effect, actually increased the earths near surface air temperature in Sydney by an average of two degrees Celsius.

This shocking statistic has been blamed on heat generated by oversexed Sydney teenagers taking advantage of the darkness to satisfy their unabated youthful lust.

University of Bondi Professor and noted climate change campaigner Wesley Zealot said "As soon as the lights went out they were into each other, in the park, on the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House steps, it was disgusting," said the Professor.

"All the friction from coital activity during Earth Hour raised the temperature trend in the Earth's thick lower atmosphere completely negating the benefits achieved."

The Professor has suggested that future Earth Hours' be conducted during daylight so as to eliminate the problem.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
