A nude photograph of France's First Lady, Carla Bruni, has been auctioned for $91,000 - more than 20 times the expected price, and nearly 100 times its real worth, say sources at a New York auction house.
The image was taken by Ms Bruni's father, Alberto, in 1968 when she was 3 months old. She was at home undergoing diaper-changing at the time.
Ms Bruni, 40, recently married French old codger and President Nicolas Sarkozy.
The picture was bought by an anonymous bidder on behalf of a "collector of children's images", said Christie's auction house in New York, where the item was sold.
Mr Sarkozy, 82, taking a nap, refused to comment on the sale.
