Berlin,Germany - The European Union was rocked today by the surprising and pointless surrender of France to Germany. No reason was given by the French government for the peculiar move as the French President had only this to say, "Today, we fully and unconditionally surrender to the German government."
The German Chancellor was extremely stunned by the news and reassured the world, that nothing had gone wrong between the two nations. "We have absolutely no idea why they would do this. We have been at peace with France for 70 years and have no desire to absorb their nation or to sour our current friendship with the French people. I mean, we really didn't want them in WWII, but they were in the way of Britain."
Upon hearing the news, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon had this to say- "Again??!!" A source close to the German government, who wished to remain anonymous, was quoted as saying, "This is getting old. Would someone just tell them to knock it off??!!"
The German Chancellor said they will not accept France's surrender.
