PRBS Newswire - Sacramento - Germany is taking the fight on Global Warming to California. The Germafornia plan will reduce Global Warming Emmisions World Wide.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier recently commented, "When it comes to shaping this first global century, we (California and Germany) are kindred spirits. My hope for the future is that we will cooperate not just culturally and economically, but also much more politically," Aug. 30 at a joint meeting of the Commonwealth Club of Northern California and the World Affairs Council in San Francisco.

The plan calls for Germany and California to cooperate in trading carbon-miracle-tax-credits on opposite sides of the planet.

And Steinmeier comments are right on. Germany and California are "Kindred spirits" of the producer consumer type. Germans make cars. Californians drive cars.

Asked why the political partnering with a sub-government half way around the world. "It is well noted that the public is more news savvy in the age of the internet. And with globalization it has become ever more so important for world governments and media outlets to sing the same tune. And besides, Germany could learn a thing or two about selling cars from California politicians."

As California and Germany move forward with addressing Global Warming, some groups are not impressed.

Sarah Bleivme had this to say, "How can you clean the air in California with actions in Germany? Or do Germans get carbon-miracle-tax-credits for selling green cars in California?"

California and Germany admit the plan is not perfect, but quickly point out "the new cars from Germany are!".

In addition, Germany has began to spray it's patented "new car smell" formula above the streets of Los Angeles in an effort to actually do something about the air quality. "If we can't clean the air, we should at least get rid of the stench".

In related news there has been a decline in homelessness in Los Angeles. Asked about the recent trend, a social services representative commented "Are you kidding?, with all the marketing of cars in LA, those Hollywood Starlettes are addicted to new car smell. They come down to skid row after the clubs and pretty soon, everyone has a place to stay for the night."
