Today Ron Paul introduced legislation that would make Great Britain the 51st state of the United States. The legislation co-written with new friend Tony Blair, calls for Britons to vote regarding statehood next spring. All Britons would then be eligible for U.S. citizenship.
"It would be like a dream come true," said Blair, "Just think a few more constitutional changes and I, Tony Blair, could become President of the United States, just like that Bush fellow. Of course I hope my good friend Ron Paul will be President before I."
It is thought that Ron Paul could be looking to add a block of new voters. Recent polls in Great Britain show, that if elections were held today, Ron Paul holds a commanding lead over Rudy Giuliani and John McCain. This is opposed to the problems Paul faces in the Southern states, northern states, midwest, southwest and western states of the United States.
Ron Paul is also said to be holding discussions with Canada and Mexico, where he also has done well in recent polls.
