Royal Mail have announced that, due to the extraordinary public interest in the Manchester United and England central defender, Harry Maguire, they are to issue a special commemorative stamp featuring the player, with a postage rate value of 80p.
The decision over the value was arrived at after taking into consideration Maguire's £80million price tag which the Old Trafford club laid out for his transfer from Leicester in the summer.
The decision to issue the stamp at all, was taken after calls from some quarters that the player was not getting enough recognition for his wondrous talents, and warranted more exposure.
Royal Mail say the stamp, currently in production, shows an image of Maguire launching himself into a sliding tackle on a red background.
Anyone purchasing the stamp can use it to send letters, keep in a display case, or stick it over their cakeholes to prevent them spouting any more tiresome verbal diahorrea.
