A teacher in a Science lesson at a school in Bangkok was surprised this morning, when the school bell rang for breaktime, a full four minutes earlier than he had expected it to ring.
The incident happened at 8:40am, but the teacher in the classroom concerned, Moys Kenwood, 55, had assumed that the time was still only 8:36, and had only just begun to bring his lesson to a suitable conclusion.
"It was chaos. The lesson was just left hanging in mid-air. I had been intending to give the students a shitload of homework, but that went by the board, and I'll now have to set that work for another night."
Asked what time he would be returning to the classroom after the break, he said:
"Bang on 9 o'clock. By my watch."
