The White House. In a morning tweet, President Donald Trump announced that the half-dozen pandas on loan from China would remain in the US when the contract with the Chinese government expires.

The pandas have been on loan to zoos in Atlanta, Memphis, San Diego and Washington, D. C. under ten-year contracts at a million dollars a year for each pair of pandas.

"The San Diego pandas are due to return to China later this year," Trump tweeted. "Instead, they will remain at San Diego until China signs a revised trade treaty with us."

Apparently, Trump was unaware that the San Diego pandas returned to China last week.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
