Blues legend, Blind-lemon Donny Rumsfeld, has announced a coast to coast tour supported by his band 'The Invaders'
Don has been in the studio, since he dropped out of the public eye recently, laying down some tracks for his new album entitled "I been an' gone and done somethin' wrong", due to be released just ahead of the tour. He told us:
"Hey man! Like I've been taking stock of my situation and writing some tunes. I ain't been on the road now for quite some time and I'm really lookin' forward to gettin' out there and seein' the fans"
Rumsfeld, who hails from a run-down shack in Tupelo Mississippi, has overcome poverty and deprivation to rise to the top. His 'chops'(musicspeak for technical ability) are legendary and it's widely rumoured that he sold his soul to the Devil to get his God-given talent"
Sources close to the bluesman tell of how he loves his guitar, named Condoleezza, so much that he sleeps with it by his bedside every night.
The tour opens in Las Vegas on 12th February and crosses the US ending up in 5 sell-out nights in New York's Madison Square Garden in April.
