They say that some things never change, and that certainly seems to be the case with 'abuse', which, a study has found, that, for the seventh year running, Sexual Abuse still tops the list of popular abuses.
Reported crime involving sexual abuse accounted for almost 31% of all UK crime in the abuse field. Physical abuse came in second with 20%, with racial abuse in third on 17%.
Sexual abuse has always been a popular abuse ever since abusing began, but seems to becoming more so, as the fight against it attempts in vain to stamp it out.
Other abuses, such as drug abuse, alcohol abuse, solvent abuse, and, to some extent, child abuse and domestic abuse, are being controlled.
Meanwhile, verbal abuse, at 15%, remains a problem, whilst the unknown figure for sexual self-abuse, it's fair to say, is better not thought about.
