Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, whose full and extraordinary name is Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Said, has eaten Jamal Khashoggi, it has been claimed.
The Prince, 33, had been extremely vague about the whereabouts of the Washington Post contributor, Mr Khashoggi, since the latter entered the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on 2 October. He said only that Mr Khashoggi "has left the consulate."
Mr Khashoggi had been a constant critic of Saudi Arabia's oppressive attitude towards the press and media, and wrote extensively on the subject.
Mr bin Salman is known to like rich foods, and rumors are rife that, rather than detain Mr Khashoggi, and conduct a long and drawn-out investigation, he simply had him cooked, and devoured him with some turkey in gravy, and a sprig of rosemary.
