Tokyo, Japan - Well, it finally happened - Magu, the lovable fluffy cat that loves to jump into any box he can find for his Youtube audience, was finally returned to a box store by accident on Friday.
"I had just bought a new vacuum cleaner," explained Magu's owner, Mitusimi Togi, who admits to being a bit of a shopaholic. "He loved the challenge of the tal, skinnyl box so much. He must have spent all morning trying to jump up into it," she explains. "I have many hours of footage for youtube pleasure watching!"
But, when Mitusimi's husband came home to an empty apartment after a long day at work, he became enraged that his wife had bought yet another big box item for their tiny Tokyo space, and he returned it to the store right away, not realizing the weight of the box was a sleepy Magu the cat. When he returned home and saw the vacuum still in the closet, he started to wonder. "That's when I realized, I had returned Magu in a fit of rage! Such shame!"
Magu is currently somewhere within the return system of the Toshini Appliances distribution network, tracked to be on a truck heading back to quality control headquarters in Yokohama, where he will be unpacked and cleaned by robots, wrapped in plastic, and returned to the shelf for resale at a discounted price.
