VATICAN CITY - The Vatican is reporting that Pope Francis is making plans to visit the Ukraine.
His holiness has been advised by his team of advisers not to make the trip to Kiev, but he says that he has to go in order to show the world that he is not afraid to do what he can to bring peace to the volatile situation.
Pope Francis stated that he hopes to meet with the leader of the invading Russian Army and see what it would take in order for them to leave the Ukraine and return back to their beloved Russia.
President Putin has asked that Pope Francis not make the trip because he is not going to a shopping mall in Rome, he is going into a war zone and he could end up getting himself or members of his entourage hurt.
The pope has responded by saying that no one would dare hurt a man of the church and especially a man who is the top guy in the church.
Meanwhile, millions of Catholics are asking Pope Francis to stay in the Vatican and oversee the running of the Bingo games which recently have been wracked with scandal.
