OTTAWA - The Canadian government has sent President Fernando Ginobili of Argentina a message in regards to his request to purchase the Northwest Territories.
President Ginobili (who is no relation to San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili) was thanked for his offer but he was informed that Canada has no intentions of selling off any part of its country.
Canada did admit that the money it would have received from the sale of the Northwest Territories would have greatly helped the financially struggling country but nonetheless it has rejected Argentina's offer.
As everyone knows the government of Canada has been severely criticized by millions of its citizens for having spent $19.7 million upgrading a mallard duck sanctuary in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
President Ginobili has remarked that should Canada decide some time in the future to sell the Northwest Territories he hopes that Argentina will be given first crack at purchasing the land.
SIDENOTE: In a gesture of goodwill, the Canadian government is sending President Ginobili 200 pounds of its prime moose steaks.
