Senator John McCain, dressed in full battle gear, appeared on the tarmac at Andrews Air Force Base this morning to fly to Libya.
Surrounded by a battalion of marines, he was heard to ask an aide,"Whose side are we on?" The aide answered "Beats the heck out of me, ask Hillary."
McCain apparently replied, "NO! I don't need her. We'll ask Muammar when we get there. Where's Katie Couric?"
Media sources are reporting that McCain will parachute into the front lines, mount a waiting white stallion, and lead the charge against the enemy, whoever that turns out to be.
An administration source was asked if the trip was sanctioned by the White House. "Of course," said the aide, "they asked us for drones!"
The journalist followed up, "Whose side is he going to fight on?"
"Beats the heck out of me," said the aide, "Ask Hillary."
