Washington--After two years of saying Hillary Clinton would take away your guns, the NRA is changing their campaign to say Obama will take away your guns.
"I really need to apologize to all the people that joined the NRA because they believed that Hillary Clinton was going to take away their guns. We made a mistake. We are so sorry for that mistake." Wayne LaPierre said on the NRA website.
The NRA membership increased 50% since 2008. The spike is in part to the increase of NRA claims of the Clintons wanting to take excess guns off the streets.
"I am a patriot and gun owner. Washington can't tell me that I can't have a gun for every finger on my hand. I have eight fingers; shot two off when my gun accidentally discharged in my trailer." Ralph Neddy, a NRA member since 1996, said to reporters outside his trailer/deer blind.
Hillary Clinton was told about the campaign that claimed she was going to take away guns, and had this to say: "Boy, these people don't know my history. I like guns, and I would never take them away. Bill might take them away, but I know I wouldn't."
