Ann Coulter has been dropped like a hot potato by one right-wing website because she has agreed to speak to a gay GOP group. Originally scheduled to speak at the "Taking America Back National Conference," Coulter was told her services as a speaker wouldn't be needed when they learned that she had agreed to speak in front of the GOProud HOMOCON event in New York City in September.
Coulter claims she speaks to groups all the time whose politics or beliefs she doesn't necessarily agree with. "I am in this to make money, not friends," claims Coulter. "If I wanted to change the world, I'd adopt one set of beliefs and stick to it. Quite frankly, that's not how you make money in this business."
Just last week, the GOP overlooked the fact that Coulter was scheduled to speak to a group of pro-choice activists even though she's been known to speak primarily at pro-life rallies.
"Pro-choice, pro-life, what really is the difference?" said Coulter. "One group believes one way, and one group believes another way. What do I care? Do they have the $50 grand or so it takes to hire me to speak?
If so, I'll talk to a group of baboons for all that it matters. Speaking of which, I'm scheduled to address the local Chapter of the NAACP next week in Huntsville, Alabama. Anyone got directions?"
